1.What is a passenger aerial ropeway?
A transportation system that sets up steel cables on supporting structures as running tracks to convey materials and people. The ropeway for transporting people is called a passenger aerial ropeway.
2. How are passenger aerial ropeways classified?
(1)According to the operation mode, it can be divided into two major categories: reciprocating and circulating. Reciprocating ropeways are further classified as: reciprocating single-car ropeway,
There are three types: single-line car shuttle ropeway, double-line car shuttle ropeway and multi-line car shuttle ropeway.
Circulating ropeways can be further classified into:
Three types: continuous circulation type, intermittent circulation type, and pulsating circulation type.
(2)According to the type of carrier used, there are four kinds: chairlift, gondola, cabin and tow-lift.
3.What regulations does the state have regarding the operation of passenger aerial ropeways?
According to the "Supervision and Inspection Regulations for Passenger Aerial Tramways" issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China, after the installation of passenger aerial tramways, they must be inspected and accepted by the inspection institutions authorized by the national special equipment safety supervision and inspection agency. Only after obtaining the "Safety Inspection Qualification Certificate" can they be put into operation.
4.How does the state stipulate the inspection cycle for passenger aerial ropeways?
According to the "Supervision and Inspection Regulations for Passenger Aerial Tramways" issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China, passenger aerial tramways that need to continue operation after the expiration of the three-year validity period of the safety inspection qualification mark shall undergo a comprehensive inspection; within the three-year validity period, an annual inspection shall be conducted once a year.
5.What are the requirements of the state for the qualifications of personnel operating passenger aerial ropeways?
It should be in accordance with relevant national regulations.
Having passed the assessment by the special equipment safety supervision and administration department,
Obtain the nationally uniform format of special certificates.
Only those who hold the relevant certificates can engage in the corresponding operations or management work.
6.What regulations should passengers abide by after entering the ropeway station?
(1)Smoking, playing around and throwing waste out of the chair, basket or cabin on the vehicle are strictly prohibited.
(2) It is prohibited to carry flammable, explosive, corrosive or strongly odorous items on board.
(3)For passengers with high blood pressure, heart disease or advanced age who are not suitable for high-altitude activities, it is recommended not to take the chairlift.
(4)Passengers are not allowed to enter the machine room or control room without permission.
(5)Whether the ropeway is stopped or running, passengers are not allowed to jump off or climb onto the chair (basket, cabin). Jumping off may cause the rope to come loose or damage the chair due to excessive vibration. In case of a stop or other malfunction during operation, do not panic and follow the instructions of the staff.
(6)It is strictly prohibited to swing or vibrate the gondola (basket, cabin). Standing on or hanging under the gondola may cause accidents and shorten the service life of the ropeway equipment.
(7)Observe public order consciously, follow the instructions of the staff, enter the station and board the train in order, do not force your way in or rush to board, and it is strictly forbidden to enter from the exit or exit from the entrance.
(8)No photography or loitering on the platform is allowed.
(9)Passengers are strictly prohibited from riding in chairlifts (gondolas, cabins) through the drive wheel and the return wheel.
7.What safety signs should tourists pay attention to before taking the ropeway?
It should be observed whether the ropeway has the "Safety Inspection Qualification Certificate" issued by the special equipment supervision and inspection institution. Passengers should take the ropeway that has passed the inspection to ensure their own safety.
8. What regulations are there regarding rescue for passenger aerial ropeways in the "Supervisory Inspection Regulations for Passenger Aerial Ropeways"?
(1)Rescue tools and facilities should be provided based on the terrain conditions. When vertical rescue is not possible along the line, horizontal rescue facilities should be equipped. Rescue equipment should be managed by designated personnel, stored in fixed locations, and be easily accessible. The equipment should be in good condition, within the safe usage period, and the ropes should be neatly coiled. When the distance from the ground to the lifting gear is greater than 15 meters, a descender rescue tool should be used, and the length of the rope should meet the requirements for the maximum height rescue.
(2)When vertical rescue is adopted, there should be a pedestrian path along the line, so that the tourists rescued from the cableway hoist can return to the station building along the walkway.
(3)There should be a rescue organization commensurate with the rescue equipment, and the personnel should be on duty.
9.What are the common first aid methods?
There are two common first aid methods:
(1)When the external power supply circuit is cut off or the main motor control system malfunctions, the backup power supply, such as a diesel generator set, should be activated. The auxiliary motor can then be used to slowly pull the passenger car back to the station.
(2)When major malfunctions occur in mechanical equipment, station systems, traction cables, etc., making it impossible for the ropeway to continue operating, the simplest method must be adopted to evacuate passengers from the cabins to the ground within the shortest time. The rescue time must not exceed 3 hours. The evacuation method depends on the type of ropeway, terrain features, climatic conditions, and the height of the cabins from the ground.
